About my Logo..
All started when I was in Africa the first time, Zambia. I was there for one year, working on a project about food security for people living with hiv and AIDS.
When we were a bit under pressure, one of my colleagues from Zambia Andrew, who speaks more than one African language, used to tell me: Arianna OSADANDAULA.
This is a Chichewa word. You might have heard instead HAKUNA MATATA, from the movie The Lion king. It has the same meaning but just different language, this is Swahili mostly spoken in Tanzania but known in other part of Africa.
It literally means No Worries. From here the meaning: no worries, no problem, take it easy, no stress. I have always loved this word, the meaning, the sound of it and of course the memories it brings back to me. My logo is the symbol of osadandaula, a bit revisited, and the symbol is also my tattoo, on my foot, since many years by now.
In my own meaning, in this context, it is like,
DON’T WORRY, MAKE IT EASY, THERE ARE PLANTS.
Believe in the power of plants and nature.. and life will be easier, healthier, lighter, more vibrant, colourful and less cruel. And still, without missing out on any nutrients!
